Last year, a versatile electromagnetic lifting equipment, which has been designed for handling tube bundles, has been installed and later implemented in Peru.
The tube bundles are made up of round and rectangular tubes and their shape also may be round or rectangular.
The installation is composed by a fixed beam with four electromagnets, specially designed for handling tube bundles. The beam has a mechanism for turning of magnets, so that the magnets can operate four in line for handling of one only bundle, or two by two in parallel, for handling two bundles at the same time.
It is completed with a state-of-the-art electrical power and control equipment, with a lead-acid emergency battery system and power to the electromagnets through constant intensity, which allows us to hold the same level of force during all working hours.
In addition, it incorporates a system of continuous control of all the variables of the installation that allows us to know the levels of overvoltage, overcurrent, temperature of the magnet, etc., to guarantee the state and availability of the installation.
All these elements incorporated to the design of the electromagnet and the variety of the load to be handled, make this installation an unique and versatile model.
