In the middle of this year, two innovative and versatile electromagnetic lifting installations were installed and subsequently commissioned in Vizcaya (Spain). They have been designed for handling billets, blooms and round bars.
Each of these installations consists of a telescopic beam with mechanical opening and closing via the two crane trolleys, with two rockers and two special double bipolar FBD-type electromagnets per rocker.

It is completed with state-of-the-art electrical power supply and control equipment, with a lead emergency battery system and constant current power supply to the electromagnets, allowing us to maintain the same level of force throughout all working hours.
In addition, it incorporates a continuous control system for all installation variables, allowing us to monitor surge levels, overcurrent, magnet temperature, etc. at all times, thereby guaranteeing the condition and availability of the entire installation at all times.
All these elements incorporated into the design of the electromagnet itself, together with the variety of loads that can be handled, make this installation a unique and highly versatile model.
