Cilindros de cabezal de cinta magnética

It consists of a magnetic circuit or bank of permanent magnets attached to a drive shaft and covered with a stainless steel casing, forming a compact cylinder, to which two non-magnetic aluminum side extensions are attached to prevent ferromagnetic parts from entering between the conveyor belt and the drum itself.

Ferromagnetic pieces found among the material stream, upon reaching the magnetic drum at the head of the belt, experience an attractive force in a radial direction toward the center of the drum, causing them to attach themselves to the conveyor belt and accompany it on its journey, and detaching a few centimeters after the conveyor belt loses contact with the drum at the bottom, thus separating the ferromagnetic pieces from the non-magnetic material.
