Bipolar electromagnets
The profiles can be manipulated using two different electromagnetic devices:
- Electromagnets.
- Electropermanent magnets
Bipolar electromagnets have been designed to handle, one by one, long pieces with a small surface area.
They are lightweight electromagnets with a small cross-section but robust construction.
They must always be installed in groups on a fixed or telescopic beam. The latter can be supplied with electro-hydraulic or mechanical drive with crane trolleys for opening and closing the beam arms.
It is advisable for cranes to have two hooks for securing the beam, to ensure the stability of the load.
Electropermanent magnets are offered as a maximum safety option, since the force is generated exclusively by permanent magnets. A brief pulse of direct current changes the direction of magnetization of the magnets, achieving two stable states over time: MAGNETIZED and DEMAGNETIZED.
