At the end of last year, an innovative electromagnetic lifting installation was installed and commissioned in Asturias (Spain), designed for the transport and handling of rails up to 111 m long. in length.
The installation consists of ten rockers with two double bipolar FBD-type electromagnets per rocker, complemented by two state-of-the-art electrical power supply and control units, with a Ni-Cd emergency battery system and constant current power supply to the electromagnets, allowing us to maintain the same level of force throughout the entire working day.
In addition, it incorporates a continuous control system for all installation variables, allowing us to monitor surge levels, overcurrent, magnet temperature, etc. at all times, thereby guaranteeing the condition and availability of the entire installation at all times.
All these elements incorporated into the design of the electromagnet itself and the particular nature of the load to be handled make this installation unique in the world, maintaining FELEMAMG’s standards of control and safety at all times.
