During the month of May, two electromagnetic lifting installations were installed and commissioned in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), designed for the simultaneous handling of four bundles of corrugated rod.
Each installation consists of an electro-hydraulic telescopic beam with four FSRV-type electromagnets per beam, specially designed for handling bundles of rods.
It is completed with state-of-the-art electrical power supply and control equipment, with a lead emergency battery system and constant current power supply to the electromagnets, which allows us to maintain the same level of force throughout all working hours, in addition to automatic beam control.
The equipment also allows the selection of the magnets to be energised, so that the installation can be adapted more conveniently to the length of the bundles to be handled.
Finally, it also incorporates a continuous control system for all installation variables, allowing us to monitor surge levels, overcurrent, magnet temperature, etc. at all times, thereby guaranteeing the condition and availability of the entire installation at all times.
