During the month of July, two scrap handling facilities were installed and commissioned at the largest steel group located in Asturias.
Each installation consists of a rectangular electromagnet measuring 2850 x 950 mm, specially designed for handling scrap metal.
It is completed with state-of-the-art electrical power supply and control equipment, with a magnetisation current boost system, in order to further improve the magnet’s load capacity.
Likewise, the electrical equipment supplies the magnet with constant intensity, which allows us to maintain the same level of force throughout all working hours.
Finally, it also incorporates a continuous control system for all installation variables, allowing us to monitor surge levels, overcurrent, magnet temperature, etc. at all times, thereby guaranteeing the condition and availability of the entire installation at all times.
